Ford Summer Break
Most car companies take some months off in the summer. It lets them retool factories for refreshed models or just to let them gauge the market for future sales and production goals. 2015 Ford Transit Tampa FL
Not often does the vanguard of Vans change. With Ford retiring its long mainstay commercial vehicle, the Econoline, the decision on what should replace it must have been a difficult one. The answer? Ford took its award winning European van and redesigned it to fit today’s needs. Yes, Ford’s new offering in the world of vans is the 2015 Ford Transit in Tampa, FL.
What’s impressive is not that the change is an improvement, but also how much of an improvement. With the multitude of choices in sizes, shapes, and engines, the Transit is hugely customizable. Whether you need to tow and haul, or if you need to ship up to 15 people, the Transit can handle both. At its maximum, it has 487.3 cubic feet of space, and brags enough height inside that someone who is 6’ 5” can comfortably stand up and find headroom. With the right equipment, you could also tow up to 7,500 behind you. All incredibly impressive numbers, and that theme continues under the hood.
Three engines offer up plenty of personality. The new choices are the standard 3.7-liter V6, followed by the fuel efficient 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6, and lastly the3.2-liter turbodiesel engine. All three give the 2015 Ford Transit plenty of power and torque, all while displaying impressive fuel economy. Ford estimates 25% better than anything the Econoline could achieve.
