2017 Ford Fusion models have begun to arrive in dealership inventories. But some observers may notice that something is missing. The much anticipated Fusion Sport trim has yet to arrive. So when will the 2017 Ford Fusion Sport be available? The 2017 Ford Fusion Sport release date is set for later this summer.
2017 Fusion Sport Engine Performance
Drawing all the attention is the Fusion Sport’s 2.7-liter, twin-turbocharged, V6 engine. This engine produces an impressive 325 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque. The engine is paired to an all-wheel drive system that helps get all that power down to the road. Fuel economy estimates on the Fusion Sport check in at 17 city/26 highway miles per gallon. These are very respectable numbers for an engine that provides that much power.

Fusion Sport Added Features
The larger engine is not the only upgrade offered on the Sport trim. Added exterior features on the Fusion Sport include a rear spoiler, adjustable suspension dampers, quad exhaust tips, 19-inch wheels and a unique grille. Interior upgrades include a nine-speaker audio system, leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, 110-volt power outlet and an automated parking system. Standard safety features include adaptive cruise control with forward collision warnings, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alerts and a lane departure warning system.

With a starting MSRP of $34,350, the 2017 Ford Fusion Sport will be one of the best power bargains on the market. With it’s long list of added features and powerful engine, the Fusion Sport offers the benefits of both a luxury car and a sports car without a break-the-bank price.
