The Ford GT made its triumphant return to Le Mans for 2016, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the iconic car’s 1-2-3 sweep of 1966. Adding to the celebration, Ford has created a special Heritage Edition of the all-new Ford GT car. The 2017 Ford GT 1966 Heritage Edition availability will be limited, so be sure to grab one while you have the chance.
Ford GT Heritage Edition Special Features
The 2017 Ford GT Heritage Edition offers several special interior and exterior features. The exterior is clad in Shadow Black paint, in either gloss or matte finish, with silver racing stripes and an exposed carbon fiber package. A Frozen White #2 graphic is emblazoned on the hood and the doors, and the 20-inch forged aluminum wheels are covered in a gold satin clearcoat.
The special features continue on the inside of the car. Heritage Edition GT models come equipped with Ebony leather carbon-fiber seats. The headrests and steering wheel all feature the Ford GT logo. Ebony leather is continued on the instrument panel, pillars and headliner. Each Ford GT Heritage Edition comes with a unique serialized identification plate.
Ford GT Performance Capabilities
Ford has equipped the new GT car with a powerful EcoBoost 3.5-liter V6 engine that will easily break the 600 horsepower mark. Ford has designed the car to maximize aerodynamics, utilizing a race track-inspired teardrop body design. Very few cars will be able to match the performance technology of the new Ford GT.
