New Ford F-150 Hybrid Release Date and Powertrain

Hybrid vehicles used to be known simply as small cars that got great gas mileage but didn’t have much in terms of horsepower and torque. But that’s all changing. And it’s changing rapidly. Hybrid powertrains have become much more advanced than they were in the early days, and more and more people are becoming fans of what they can do. And because of that, automakers like Ford are beginning to expand their hybrid offerings. And that includes hybrid versions of models you may not expect. Surprising to some, but perhaps not to others, Ford has announced it is working on a hybrid version of the F-150. Hybrid Versions of the Ford F-150 and Mustang Are Coming

If you look back on the history of the automotive industry, you’ll see a variety of phases that cars, trucks and SUVs have gone through. Most recently, a phase highlighting the importance of fuel efficiency, including the rise of the hybrid, has come to pass. And with the rise of the hybrid has come the rise of the fully-electric vehicle. No longer are electric vehicles tiny, impractical cars that have a better chance of leaving you stranded somewhere than they do getting you to your destination. Instead, they’re now viewed as the future of the industry. So much so, in fact, that Ford has announced numerous electrified vehicles it plans to introduce in the next five years, including hybrid versions of two of its most iconic vehicles – the F-150 and Mustang. Ladies and gentlemen, after a long-awaited and highly-anticipated return, the news as to will Ford ever bring back the Ford Bronco, we have an answer: No.

Unfortunately, for all of you Bronco fans, we are not expecting to see this legendary Ford icon anytime in the near future. That’s not to say it will never come back, but there will definitely not be a 2016 Ford Bronco, or definitely not a 2016 Ford SVT Bronco. (more…)

The rumor mill was working over time with fans of the Bronco getting excited about the 2016 Ford Bronco, it’s engine and specs. Ford has now officially declined that it will come into being, but then again, if we had asked them about the GT a few months ago they would have said that it didn’t exist either. There Will be a New Ford GT Supercar

The GT is being revived for the upcoming Le Mans battle. Some may recall or know about the years from 1966 to 1969 when the GT took first in the Le Mans grueling 24 hour race for four consecutive years. The rumored GT will be in the same class as the Corvette, Ferrari 458 Italia and Porsche 911 to name a few. This is of course, if there will be a new Ford GT supercar. (more…)

Did you know Ford had a two wheel concept car back in 1961? Well they did and back then it probably seemed like it was the wave of the future. Now it might seem more nerdy or even flimsy.
