Ford Mustang Now Best-Selling Sports Car on the Planet
For over 50 years, the Ford Mustang has been the best-selling sports car in the United States. Thanks to the impressiveness that is the 2018 Ford Mustang, that looks to continue for another 50 years and beyond. But it’s not just the United States market that the Mustang is dominating anymore – it’s the entire world. That’s right, the Ford Mustang is now the best-selling sports car on the planet. At one time, the Mustang was only available in the United States. Now, it’s available in 140 countries around the world, with six more countries being added this year. How the Ford Mustang Took Over the World
Each and every model year, the new Ford Mustang models feature powerful and efficient engine options to choose from, smooth and fun-to-drive handling that seems to continue to get better and better and a comprehensive suite of advanced new safety, technology, comfort and convenience features. We’ve come to expect and anticipate that here in the United States. But, now the rest of the world gets to enjoy it as well. Over 150,000 Mustangs were sold in 2016, with almost 45,000 of those Mustangs sold outside of the United States. That international boost is thanks to the Mustang now being available in the world’s biggest auto market – China – as well as in places like Germany, New Caledonia, Gibraltar and Bonaire. And with more countries being added to the mix each year, the Mustang is only going to grow in popularity.
