When will the Ford EcoSport be available?
Ford made headlines recently by announcing that the fun new EcoSport crossover will be offered in North America. Popular in Europe, this impressive vehicle will give American drivers access to crossover capabilities in a versatile and subcompact package. So when will the Ford EcoSport be available?
Ford EcoSport North American Availability
The all-new Ford EcoSport will be arriving at dealerships everywhere in early 2018. Specific availability information will be released as we near that point.
The subcompact crossover puts the Ford EcoSport in an interesting segment. The vehicle will offer the increased ride height and storage capabilities that come with the crossover body style paired with the impressive fuel-efficiency numbers that are expected from a vehicle so small.
It will come as no surprise that the new EcoSport will be offered with two EcoBoost engine options. Standard equipment will include Ford’s impressive 1.0-liter three-cylinder EcoBoost engine. Fuel economy numbers on this engine are not yet available. Current Ford models that offer the three-cylinder engine are easily able to break 30 miles per gallon in the city and 40 miles per gallon on the highways.
The second engine offered on the EcoSport will be Ford’s 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder. This turbocharged engine will push the crossover’s horsepower rating over 200. Four-cylinder models will also come with Ford’s Intelligent 4-wheel drive as standard equipment.

Ford will be offering the EcoSport in four different trim levels: S, SE, SES and Titanium. The crossover will include many of the best features Ford has to offer. This includes the new SYNC 3 touchscreen infotainment system. Other feature highlights include two USB ports and a 110-volt power outlet.
While we all will have to wait for a little while for the new EcoSport, several other great members of the Ford crossover lineup are currently available.
