Where’s the Best Place to Golf in Tampa FL?

Spring has almost sprung here in Tampa, Florida, which means the weather will soon be perfect for hitting the links. Sure, we’re lucky enough here in Tampa to never really have to put our clubs away, but only spring provides the perfect weather for a quick 18 holes whenever our hearts desire. But we’re also lucky here in Tampa to have a wide array of beautiful courses to choose from. There are so many, in fact, that it can be more stressful trying to figure out which course you want to play than it is getting out of the rough and onto the green. So to help you out, here’s three of our favorite golf courses in Tampa, FL.

Westchase Golf Club

Golfer Putting Ball on Tee_b

Located just minutes from the Tampa International Airport, the Westchase Golf Club is Tampa’s friendliest 4-star golf course. A 6,699-yard, par 72 course carved out of a sprawling cypress forest with long and narrow fairways and fast and smooth greens, Westchase is often called one of the most beautiful public access courses in the Tampa area. And as an added bonus, there’s GPS on every cart.

Pebble Creek Golf Club

An 18-hole, par 71 golf course located in New Tampa just minutes from the University of South Florida, the Pebble Creek Golf Club offers an exceptional layout full of scenic Florida woods and waterscapes. And when we say waterscapes, we mean it, as there is water on 16 of the 18 holes. But don’t worry, while the course is challenging enough for any pros out there, it’s also just as fun for newbies. No matter what your handicap may be, you’ll definitely want to check this one out.

Babe Zaharias Golf Course

Located just 20 minutes from downtown Tampa in the Forest Hills area, the Babe Zaharias Golf Course flows through a tree-lined residential neighborhood to create a 6,244-yard course, par 70 masterpiece. The back nine alone features four 400-yard-plus par 4s that must be played to be believed.
