Ladies and gentlemen, after a long-awaited and highly-anticipated return, the news as to will Ford ever bring back the Ford Bronco, we have an answer: No.
Unfortunately, for all of you Bronco fans, we are not expecting to see this legendary Ford icon anytime in the near future. That’s not to say it will never come back, but there will definitely not be a 2016 Ford Bronco, or definitely not a 2016 Ford SVT Bronco.
Some drivers have seen articles here and there speculating the Bronco’s return for the upcoming model years, but, unfortunately we’re going to have to burst your bubbles. Sorry.
There was at one point more than 10 years ago a Ford Bronco concept, but there are no current or near-future plans to bring it back. After a series of April Fool’s articles, at least that is where we think this started, people started getting very excited about the idea of a new Ford Bronco. That will not be happening anytime soon.
That’s not to say that this vehicle will NEVER come back (there is a HUGE cult following for it), it will not be back anytime soon.
The Ford Bronco came out in the 1960s and ever since has accumulated quite the following. Drivers craving the return of this legendary vehicle love it for its versatility and durability, but it was unfortunately given the ax in 1996, the Bronco’s last year of production in the U.S.The early Broncos were meant to compete with the Jeep off-roading capabilities, but after O.J. used the vehicle in his world-famous low-speed chase, it was hard to think of it in any other capacity.
What do you guys think? Would you drive the Bronco if it came back as a new model? Why or why not? We’d love to hear in the comments below!
