2015 Ford Edge Release Date
The reinvented 2015 Ford Edge was revealed this month and brought with it a whole lot of excitement. Complete with a new face lift the 2015 Ford Edge will be turning heads when it hits the Florida streets with a sharper looking body style. Along with a new look, the new Ford Edge has shed about 50-pounds of body fat and gained some muscle. By using lighter weight, stronger materials the Edge has increased interior space and decreased weight. Passenger space has been increased by 5 percent and cargo space jumps up an additional 7 percent. Keep an eye out for the sleeker, new look Ford and try to hold out for the 2015 Ford Edge release date.
Unprecedented territory has been breached with this new model Ford. The 2015 Ford Edge is the first Ford model to come standard with Ford EcoBoost technology. The standard 2015 Ford Edge will be powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder that puts out 245 horsepower. Unlike the 2014 Ford Edge, the 2015 base model is capable of towing up to 3,500 pounds. There will be two other power platforms available as well, a 285-horsepower 3.5-liter V-6 or a 2.7-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost six-cylinder that provides a monster 320 horsepower, which is on par with some 2014 Ford F-150 models.
With a new look and new performance the 2015 Ford Edge will get some new toys as well. We are looking forward to testing out the new adaptive radar cruise control, lane departure prevention system, and a 180-degree front mounted camera. The 180-degree front-mounted camera will allow you to see around corners, down alleys or out of parking spaces. No more blind corners. The lane departure prevention system is also a great safety feature. If you start to veer too far out of your lane the 2015 Ford Edge senses it and notifies you by vibrating the wheel and steering you back on track.
