Halloween is a ton of fun for children of all ages. Trick-or-treating is a great opportunity to get outside and show off your costumes. Before you head out this Halloween, here is some 2016 trick-or-treating safety advice near Tampa FL.
Watch the weather
We have beautiful weather most of the year here in Tampa, but be sure to check before heading out if there is a chance for rain. Nothing will ruin the fun faster than showers or storms. If it looks like inclimate weather might be on its way, be sure to plan ahead. Bring rain jackets or an umbrella. A jacket may ruin a costume, but getting rained on will ruin the entire day.

Take a look at your child’s candy
Before you let your child dig into that pile of candy, be sure to look over everything. Throw away any candy that looks suspicious or appears to have been opened or tampered with. If you find any suspicious candy, contact the police right away. Also try to make note of any houses you think may be giving away suspicious candy.
Visit familiar neighborhoods
In a city the size of Tampa, it will only take a few stops to stock up on candy. Stay to your home neighborhood, or to neighborhoods you know well. Try to stop at houses you know. Visit friends or family members. Staying safe will add to the fun of the Halloween season.
