Ford just announced that every model in the company’s 2017 lineup of cars, trucks and crossovers will offer Sync 3, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. By expanding the availability of these systems, Ford is ensuring that their vehicles continue to offer owners all the best in technology features.
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto Features
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto allow users to directly link their smartphone to the infotainment system of their vehicle. The phone screen is displayed directly on the touchscreen. Users can then access a variety of apps and systems, including calling, messaging and navigation features. Apple CarPlay is available on iPhone 5 and later models. Android 5.0 and higher devices can utilize Android Auto.

Sync 3 Features and Capabilities
Sync 3 is the latest infotainment system offered on Ford vehicles. Through Sync 3, Ford owners can utilize several great features, including hands-free phone calls, voice recognition and navigation systems. The Sync AppLink suite includes a variety of great apps that provide both entertainment and information features. Sync 3 can be used to access Pandora, Spotify and Ford PASS and several other great apps.
2017 Ford Models Currently Available
