Explaining the Five Drive Modes of the All-New 2018 Ford GT
As we mentioned, the all-new 2018 Ford GT features five all-new drive modes. They are Normal, Wet, Sport, Track and V-Max. But what does each drive mode allow you to do in your new Ford GT? Well, Normal Drive Mode should be pretty obvious – it’s for everyday driving. Heading to the grocery store in your new Ford GT? Put it in Normal Drive Mode and you’re all set to make absolutely everyone at the store jealous. Wet Drive Mode is pretty obvious, too, as it is the setting you’re going to want to use in wet and rainy conditions or any time inclement weather is present. Sport Drive Mode is where the fun begins, as it provides you with a more responsive throttle calibration to get the most out of the all-new GT’s twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter engine and anti-lag system. If you’re taking your Ford GT out on the track, Sport Drive Mode will work, but you’re probably going to want to switch it over to Track Drive Mode, which has been optimized specifically for race conditions. Finally, there’s V-Max Drive Mode, which is what you’re going to want to switch to for maximum velocity when driving in a straight line.
