2020 Ford Escape Hybrid Powertrain Specs and Features

Which New 2020 Ford Escape Trim Levels at Brandon Ford in Tampa FL Offer a Hybrid Powertrain Option?
While it’s true that the 2020 Ford Escape lineup has two hybrid powertrain options to choose from, not all 2020 Escape trim levels can feature a hybrid powertrain. So, let’s take a look at which 2020 Escape trim levels can feature a hybrid powertrain. Starting things off are the 2020 Ford Escape SE Sport and the 2020 Ford Escape Titanium, both of which feature a standard hybrid powertrain. This hybrid powertrain features an all-new Atkinson cycle 2.5-liter hybrid engine paired with an electronic continuously variable transmission. It should be noted that both of these trim levels have a regular gas engine available, as well, for those who don’t want a hybrid powertrain – though with a combined system horsepower output of 198 and an electric-only top speed of 85 miles per hour, we’re not sure who wouldn’t want it. The plug-in hybrid powertrain option is available on all 2020 Escape trim levels other than the 2020 Escape S and the aforementioned 2020 Escape SE Sport.
