While the rest of the country is getting excited about the arrival of summer, we’re here in Tampa, FL, enjoying our average of 361 days of sunshine a year. Yeah, that’s a lot of sunny days, which sometimes we may take for granted. But this year we decided to celebrate the beginning of summer by pledging to get out and enjoy all of the sun and beautiful weather we’re blessed with here in Tampa. With that in mind, we decided to put together a little list of the best beaches around Tampa, FL. So, pack up the blankets and beach balls and enjoy all Tampa has to offer.

Fort De Soto Park
If you’re looking for a clean beach, clear water, two fishing piers, a historic fort, bayside campsites, a paved trail, breathtaking scenery, fun-to-watch shorebirds, a kayak stand and a great chance to see manatees all in one beach, then Fort De Soto Park is the place for you. Located at 3500 Pinellas Bayway S in Tierra Verde, Fort De Soto is a barrier island and 1,136-acre park containing everything we just listed and more.
Caladesi Island State Park
If you’re looking to add a ferry ride to your beach adventure, you’re going to want to head to Caladesi Island State Park. Located at One Cswy Blvd. in Dunedin, Caladesi Island State Park includes a ferry ride to a beautifully scenic three-mile beach that begs to be sat on and enjoyed for hours. You can also head inland to hike on a wooded nature trail that’s perfect for bird-watchers and adventurers alike.
Clearwater Beach
It’s all in the name for Clearwater Beach. Located at the west end of State Road 60 in Clearwater Beach, FL, this beach features sugar-fine sand and the clearest water around that’s perfect for swimming, sun bathing and all kinds of different beach games.
