Cleaning Your Car

Washing car exterior by hand_b

This is self-explanatory, but the beginning of spring is the perfect time to give your car a full cleaning, inside and out. That means washing and waxing the exterior and cleaning and vacuuming the interior. Washing and waxing helps remove all the junk our Tampa winters produce that can damage the paint and finish and even lead to rust if left untouched. That mess also gets inside the car, which is why it’s important to thoroughly clean the inside.

Tire, Brake and Wiper Maintenance

Spring is the perfect time to give your tires a quick check. Not only can changes in air temperature affect your tire pressure, but even mild winters can take a toll on tires. And your tires aren’t the only thing winter messes with. You’ll also want to check your brakes and your windshield wipers.

Alignment, Suspension and Checking Under the Hood

Last but certainly not least, you’re going to want to check your alignment, suspension and make sure everything’s in order under the hood. This can be tricky if you’re not a mechanic, so you may want to just bring your car in to have it checked out by our experienced Brandon Ford Service Department. Our certified technicians can do a quick check to make sure all your belts and hoses are still in good working condition, and we can make sure your suspension and alignment haven’t been affected by winter road conditions.
