The Mustang GT350 Release Date is Set for 2015
There’s a lot to be excited about now the the Shelby GT350 Mustang has finally been revealed by Ford. Even if it is just a CGI rendering, we will be able to see it in real life by the time the 2014 LA Auto Show rolls around in a few short days. Until then we recommend you keep watching the video and listen to that engine rumble.
The Mustang is already a timeless vehicle, but those who remember listening to Carroll Shelby say that performance is his business have to be impatiently waiting for the day in 2015 when the GT350 is finally made available. The name is enough to get most enthusiasts shaking with excitement, but the flat-plane crankshaft 5.2L V8 engine will make the ground shake. The engine provides over 500 horsepower and 400 lb-ft. of torque.
In the cockpit you will find that new seats have been added to provide comfort for day to day driving and performance when you go to the track. Ford avoided putting in anything bright that reflects light in the interior because no one needs lights flashing in their eyes at 100 mph.
Thanks to the massive Brembo brakes, Ford is saying that this Mustang has the most track-credible brake system ever offered on a Ford vehicle while remaining street legal. The front brakes measure out at 15.5-inches and 15-inches in the rear. They go well with the 19-inch aluminum wheels, wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sports.
The body has been made more aerodynamic and comes with a lower, tighter aluminum hood. And you won’t be able to miss the Cobra logo on the grille. The GT350 will also come with 5 different driving modes to give you even more control over ABS, traction, stability and steering. This allows you to completely customize your drive every day you drive this timeless vehicle.
