The base Ford Fusion S trim comes equipped with a standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine. Upgraded Fusion Engine Options
Higher Fusion trim levels offer two additional engine options. The first is an EcoBoost turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder. True to its name, this engine offers the best fuel economy numbers available on the Fusion, earning an estimated 25 city/37 highway miles per gallon.
The second available engine is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder. The larger size of this engine allows it to offer 240 horsepower. Even with the added power, fuel economy estimates on the engine check in at a respectable 22 city/33 highway.
Fusion Sport V6 Engine
But for even more power, the 2017 Fusion Sport trim is the way to go. This trim comes equipped with a standard 2.7-liter turbocharged V6 engine that maxes out the Fusion’s horsepower at 325 and offers 350 pound-feet of torque. This engine makes the Fusion Sport one of the most capable performance sedans currently on the market.
