Get More Horsepower, Comparable Torque and Better Fuel Efficiency with the 2017 Ford Explorer
The 2017 Ford Explorer and 2017 Chevrolet Traverse are pretty evenly matched in terms of power, though the 2017 Explorer does have a leg up in terms of horsepower, which is the most important factor when looking at an SUV’s powertrain features. In fact, the new Ford Explorer offers 290 horsepower, while the new Chevrolet Traverse offers only 281 horsepower. The 2017 Traverse does offer more torque than the new Explorer, though it’s not by much, and the 2017 Explorer’s horsepower offering more than makes up for it.
