Get More Horsepower and Torque with the 2017 Ford Taurus Without Sacrificing Gas Mileage
The 2017 Ford Taurus is one of the most powerful large sedans on the market today, offering 288 horsepower and 254 pound-feet of torque, compared to only 196 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque from the 2017 Chevrolet Impala.
And, as you can see in the table above, you don’t have to sacrifice gas mileage in order to get that additional power. The new Chevrolet Impala gets only slightly better gas mileage than the new Ford Taurus, with 19 miles per gallon in the city and 28 miles per gallon on the highway, compared to 18 miles per gallon in the city and 27 miles per gallon on the highway from the new Ford Taurus. That’s only one mile per gallon in the city and on the highway, which doesn’t equate to much savings at the pump, especially when you consider all the additional power you’re getting with the 2017 Taurus.
