2018 Ford F-150 diesel Tampa FL

With the 2018 model year, Ford is making some big changes to the already successful F-150 platform. America’s top-selling truck, the F-150 will see new engines, new features, and an all-new 10-speed transmission. Perhaps the most exciting changes comes in the shape of a new diesel engine. That’s right, the F-150 is getting a diesel option, which has never been an option with this medium duty truck before. When it becomes available, you can find your 2018 Ford F-150 diesel in Tampa, FL at Brandon Ford.

Aluminum Construction

The 2018 Ford F-150 will still have the same award winning aluminum construction that has enabled this iconic truck to beef up its strength while reducing its weight. Though EPA numbers have yet to be announced, you can expect similar performance to the 2017 model with 18/24 mpg with gas.

Diesel Power

The 2018 F-150 will finally have a diesel option, and instead of shoehorning a diesel engine from another Ford in there, Ford has built an all-new 3.0-liter Power Stroke turbo diesel which will include standard Auto Start-Stop and be paired to Ford’s all new 10-speed automatic transmission.

New Technology

A new model year means new technology and Ford is adding a ton of features including available 4G LTE with Wi-Fi hotspot for up to 10 devices, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, and a class exclusive Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection.

2018 Ford F-150 diesel features and options

Because Ford is building an all-new diesel engine for its flagship truck, not much is known about the power specifications yet. We expect it to outperform most if not all of the current F-150 engine lineup when it comes to torque, and with the F-150 lightweight aluminum construction, it should be able to earn high EPA estimated mpg values. Time will tell for sure, until then we can tell you about all the features and options that Ford has in the works for this 2018 truck.

  • SYNC 3 with FordPass
  • 4G LTE with Wi-Fi hotspot
  • 360-degree camera
  • Adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go
  • Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection
  • Lane Keep Assist
  • Blind Spot Information System
  • And More!
