There’s so much to talk about when it comes to the new F-150 that it can be hard to know where to start, but we’d be remiss if we didn’t start with the fact that the 2018 F-150 features a diesel engine option for the first time ever. More specifically, it will come with an available all-new 3.0-liter Power Stroke diesel engine built specifically for the 2018 F-150. The new Ford F-150 will come standard with an all-new 3.3-liter V6 direct-injection engine that offers the same 282 horsepower and 253 lb-ft. of torque as the previously-standard 3.5-liter V6 engine while getting even better gas mileage. An all-new second-generation 2.7-liter EcoBoost engine is also available and features dual port and direct-injection technology for improved levels of power and efficiency. Along with a 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine and an improved 5.0-liter V8 engine, this new engine will be paired with the segment-exclusive 10-speed automatic transmission.

Advanced New Safety and Technology Features on the 2018 Ford F-150
At the top of the list of advanced new safety and driver assistance features included in the 2018 Ford F-150 are a pair of segment-first features. For starters, there’s the available adaptive cruise control system with stop-and-go functionality, which allows you to set a speed before using advanced radar and camera technologies to monitor the traffic ahead of you to maintain a safe distance between you and the traffic around you. This feature will even bring you to a complete stop if necessary. The other is the pre-collision assist with pedestrian detection system, which monitors the space around you for vehicles and pedestrians. These two features join other available safety features such as the blind spot information system, the lane-keeping system and a 360-degree camera.
In terms of technology and entertainment features, the new Ford F-150 includes the newly available B&O PLAY audio system complete with high-end speakers. Other impressive new technology features include the available SYNC 3 with FordPass system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
