It’s also the first Ford SUV – and the first model in its segment – to feature safety and driver assistance systems such as post-collision braking, evasive steering, and adaptive cruise control. Now, you may be thinking that there are other SUVs in the segment that feature adaptive cruise control, but none of those systems also feature stop-and-go and lane centering capabilities.
The all-new 2019 Edge ST also features automatic rain-sensing windshield wipers, a rear-view camera, ultrasonic sensors in the front and rear, a 180-degree front camera, and an upgraded active park assist system. Additionally, the all-new Edge ST features standard dual-stage airbags, side-curtain airbags, and a unique glove box knee airbag.
