There are two main features people look for when shopping for a new SUV – power and interior space. And it just so happens that those are two features the all-new 2019 Ford Edge lineup can offer far more of than the 2018 Nissan Murano lineup.
In terms of standard power, the 2018 Murano lineup holds a slight 10 horsepower advantage over the 2019 Edge lineup, though the all-new Edge lineup holds an impressive 40 pound-feet advantage when it comes to standard torque. That standard 2018 Murano engine is the only engine available for the lineup, whereas the 2019 Edge lineup also features the aforementioned 2019 Edge ST, which offers 335 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque.
Moving inside, the 2019 Ford Edge lineup provides 113.9 cubic-feet of total passenger space, 39.2 cubic-feet of cargo space when all seats are in place, and 73.4 cubic-feet of cargo space when the second row is folded down. Conversely, the 2018 Nissan Murano lineup provides only 108.1 cubic-feet of total passenger space, 32.1 cubic-feet of cargo space when all seats are in place, and 67 cubic-feet of cargo space when the second row is folded down.
