2019 Mustang vs 2019 Camaro: Which American Sports Coupe Stands Tall?

Whether you go to purchase a new Ford Mustang or a new Chevy Camaro, you’re getting to choose between two engine options. Those engine options couldn’t be any more different, however.

That’s because, while both the 2019 Mustang lineup and the 2019 Camaro lineup offer an inline 4-cylinder engine option, only the 2019 Ford Mustang lineup offers a V8 engine option – the 2019 Chevrolet Camaro lineup’s available engine is a V6 engine.

It also just so happens to be true that the 2019 Ford Mustang lineup’s engines are more powerful than the 2019 Chevy Camaro’s engines. In fact, the 2019 Mustang lineup’s I-4 engine is more powerful than the 2019 Camaro lineup’s I-4 engine, and the 2019 Mustang lineup’s V8 engine is obviously more powerful than the 2019 Camaro lineup’s V6 engine.

The most interesting fact about the powertrain options of the two lineups, then, is the fact that their maximum gas mileage ratings are almost identical, meaning you’re getting more power with the 2019 Ford Mustang lineup, without it costing you extra at the pump.
