The 2026 Ford Mustang will be available in six standard trim levels — EcoBoost®, EcoBoost® Premium, GT, GT Premium, Dark Horse, and Dark Horse Premium — that are available in Fastback and Convertible body styles.
Engine Options and Specs
The 2026 Ford Mustang is available with a trio of powerful engine options. Ford Mustang EcoBoost® models are powered by a 315-horsepower 2.3-liter EcoBoost® four-cylinder engine that is married to a 10-speed automatic transmission. The Ford Mustang GT lineup employs a 480-horsepower 5.0-liter V-8 engine that can be paired with a 10-speed automatic or 6-speed manual transmission. Track-tuned Ford Mustang Dark Horse models feature a 500-horsepower 5.0-liter V-8 with a TREMEC® manual gearbox and a class-exclusive Drift Brake.
New FX Appearance Package
The new model year will add an FX Appearance Package to the spec sheet that will bring back the Fox body style of the 1980s and 1990s. With a wealth of vintage style cues that pay homage to the 1980s Ford Mustangs, the FX Appearance Package will feature a pair of signature 19-inch wheel designs available in Oxford White. Additional highlights include available Oxford White accents on a Gloss Black grille, leather interior with black and white plaid inserts, accent stitching, carbon fiber interior trim, and FX Package accents on the interior and exterior.
New Exterior Color Options
With the addition of the brand-new FX Appearance Package to deliver a signature look and feel, the 2026 Ford Mustang will add a pair of exterior color options to the spec sheet. When the 2026 Ford Mustang arrives, it will be available in Adriatic Blue Metallic and will see the return of the popular Orange Fury Metallic exterior color option.
